The OPPO A5 Pro 5G has officially launched in the Philippines. Hot on the heels of the Reno13 series, it is the first entry in the A series this year and is now more durable thanks to its increased IP69 dust and water resistance rating.
The OPPO A5 Pro 5G now offers IP69 dust and water resistance to resist everyday elements. This allows it to survive fresh water immersion, hot water, high-pressure sprays, and dust intrusion. Its 6.67-inch 1604 x 720 120Hz IPS display is also tougher with its Gorilla Glass 7i protection and OPPO’s Splash Touch that allows you to use it even if it has water or oil splashes.
In addition to its weather resistance, the A5 Pro 5G’s chassis is rated with a Military-Grade Shock Resistance. Its double-tempered glass, aluminum alloy upper cover for its motherboard, and interior cushioning allows it to survive accidental drops without worries.
Its cameras include a 50MP f/1.8 main and a 2MP f/2.4 monochrome at the back, and an 8MP f/2.0 front-facing shooter. It does support Livephoto that lets you record a quick 1.5 video to capture memories. The device will come with OPPO’s AI Editor which lets you unblur photos, remove reflections, and remove unwanted objects in photos.
Under the hood, the A5 Pro 5G comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. The whole smartphone is powered by a 5,800mAh battery with 45W SuperVOOC charging, and OPPO guarantees 4 years of usage with its battery holding over 80% of its health after 1,600 charge cycles.
The OPPO A5 Pro 5G is priced at PhP 15,999 in the Philippines and comes in Bloom Pink and Mocha Brown colorways. There is a 4G variant that comes with a Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen1 chip with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage for PhP 10,999.
The OPPO A5 Pro 5G and its 4G alternative are now available via Shopee with additional perks such as a free shipping voucher and 0% interest when purchased via SPayLater until March 28, 2025. These devices will be available via OPPO’s Lazada and TikTok stores starting March 29, 2025.
