One would think that the A78 5G is a direct upgrade from the OPPO A77 but this isn’t so. The company has made some cost-cutting measures to ensure affordable of the device while still sporting 5G. It now comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset from the A77’s Dimensity 810 but will come pre-installed with ColorOS 13.

Its design follows the Reno8 T except the vegan leather finish is now replaced with the OPPO Glow design. There are two cameras at the back – a 50MP f/1.8 main lens and a 2MP f/2.4 depth – and an 8MP f/2.0 selfie shooter. It will have a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W SuperVOOC charging.
