OPPO F9 in Starry Purple now available in stores

The OPPO F9, the brand’s latest entry into their long range of mid-range smartphones, has been officially launched last month. OPPO, however, has released another color option for the F9; Starry Purple.

It seems that OPPO and some of its contemporaries have been moving away from the traditional single-color rear of smartphones and instead releasing new and more colorful options for the people. Now available in three colors: Sunrise Red, Twilight Blue, and Starry Purple, the OPPO F9 now offers more options to potential customers that prefer their personality to show.

Aside from the gorgeous rear, the OPPO F9 Starry Purple shares the same specifications as the other color options. Inside is a Helio P60 SoC from MediaTek with 6GB of RAM while files and photos are stored in 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via the microSD slot.

The OPPO F9 comes with a dual rear cameras composed of a 16MP + 2MP shooters with dual LED flash. The 2MP secondary shooter acts as a depth sensor for the smartphone to produce better bokeh in photos. At the front is a 25MP f/2.0 selfie camera with hardware HDR to capture increased colors and contrast in pictures.

While the notch still exists, it has now been reduced on the OPPO F9 with their Waterdrop screen design. The 6.3-inch display on the F9 is also a bit taller compared to the OPPO F7 with an aspect ratio of 19.5:0 and at a 2340 x 1080 resolution. The smartphone also has an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 90.8%.

Another addition on the OPPO F9 is VOOC, the brand’s own take on fast charging. VOOC charging allows its 3,500mAh battery reach up to 2 hours of talk time in 5 minutes of charging.

The OPPO F9 is now available in stores for PhP 17,990. The smartphone can also be purchased via Home Credit for 9% for 9 months or via Smart GigaX Plan 1299.
