The OPPO Find X is about to go official later this evening. The smartphone’s photos and specifications, however, are already available online. OPPO’s latest flagship have ditched the notch that was prevalent in the previous release cycle of Android smartphones. The Find X also adds to the formula a pop-up camera and a flagship-class Qualcomm Snapdragon 845.
In lieu of the notched display is a 6.4-inch notch-less display with a 1080p resolution. The display also has a 92.25% screen-to-body ratio. The display has also been curved at the edges to have a more ergonomic fit on the user’s hand.
Since the front of the smartphone has been completely taken over by the screen, OPPO has placed a 25MP front-facing camera as well as the dual rear camera setup composed of a 16MP + 20MP shooters on a motorized platform that pops up whenever the camera is activated.
The selfie camera comes with 3D facial scanning system for OPPO’s face unlock and, we presume, for another iteration of OPPO’s AI Beautification system. The brand says that the motorized platform pops up from the smartphone in just 0.5 seconds.
Inside the OPPO Find X is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Power is supplied by a 3,730mAh battery backed by OPPO’s VOOC fast charging via its Type-C port, which was unveiled even before the launch of the Find X. Of course, the smartphone runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo with OPPO’s latest version of the ColorOS.
