It’s finally here. The latest innovation in OPPO’s smartphone has finally arrived in the Philippines. With a periscope-design for its cameras and a flagship SoC in the form of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, the OPPO Find X is truly the first of its kind.
First launched in Paris, the OPPO Find X comes with an improved display over its contemporaries with a Panoramic Arc Screen with a 6.4-inch OLED panel and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio at an FHD+ resolution. The OPPO Find X’s screen also achieves an impressive 93.8% screen-to-body ratio with a curved side to sit more comfortable on the hand.
OPPO has completely gone off the walls with the camera setup on the Find X. Instead of having static cameras at the front and back, a motorized platform will now rise from the smartphone’s body that reveals by a Sony IMX 576-powered 16MP + 20MP dual rear cameras and a 25MP f/2.0 front-facing camera. OPPO is saying that there is only a 0.5 second delay when the platform rises up so there’s little hindrance when taking photos.
The cameras on the OPPO Find X is also backed by Sensor HDR 2.0. Since the HDR’s implementation is on a hardware-level, the Find X can get real-time pixel-level graded exposure to allow subjects and background to be more distinct within a selfie.
OPPO has also improved the AI capabilities of the Find X’s cameras. The smartphone’s AI scene detection now comes with more than 20 scenarios of photography and around 800 combinations of scenes.
The Find X doesn’t come with a traditional fingerprint scanner. Instead, it now has an improved facial recognition system called 3D Face Unlock.
Inside the OPPO Find X is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which is expected for a smartphone of this caliber.
