The OPPO Find X8 series have officially made their debut in China. Comprised of the OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, the two devices are powered by the flagship Dimensity 9400 chip and come with Hasselblad cameras.
Let’s start with their Hasselblad cameras. The Find X8 gets a 50MP main camera powered by a Sony LYT-700 sensor, a 50MP ultrawide, and a periscope telephoto with an IMX882 sensor. The higher OPPO Find X8 Pro packs in a 50MP Sony LYT-808 main lens, a 50MP Sony IMX858 periscope telephoto, a 5MP portrait telephoto with OIS, and a 50MP ultrawide.
Their camera hardware is complemented by OPPO’s HyperTone image engine. It takes 9 RAW frames from each photo and combines them to improve dynamic range and clarity.
The Pro model gets a dedicated camera button called a Quick Button to activate the camera app. It can also act as a dedicated shutter and zoom control.
For displays, the base model brings a 6.59-inch FullHD+ 120Hz OLED screen. On the other hand, the Pro variant has a larger 6.78-inch FullHD+ 120Hz OLED display. Their chassis are both rated for IP69 dust and water resistance.
As for battery, the Find X8 is powered by a 5,630mAh silicon-carbon battery while the Find X8 Pro has 5,910mAh battery. The two support 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The OPPO Find X8 starts at CNY 4,199 while the Find X8 Pro comes in with a starting price of CNY 5,299. Both smartphones will hit the Chinese market on October 30, 2024.
OPPO is also gearing up for a global launch for the Find X8 series. They haven’t announced any exact date yet for the global debut. Stay tuned.
