The OPPO Find X8 series will be making their global debut on November 21, 2024, just a few weeks after their launch in China. These new flagships are powered by the new Dimensity 9400 chip and Hasselblad Master Camera system.
The series will have two variants: the OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. The vanilla Find X8 packs a 50MP main camera with a Sony LYT-700 sensor, a 50MP ultrawide, and a Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto. The Pro model has a Sony LYT-808-powered 50MP main camera, a 50MP Sony IMX-858 periscope telephoto, a 50MP portrait telephoto, and a 50MP ultrawide.
Aside from hardware, the Find X8 series’ cameras are equipped with OPPO’s HyperTone Image Engine. This enables them to capture 9 RAW frames and combine them to improve dynamic range and clarity.
The Pro model gets a dedicated camera button called “Quick Button” that can be used to activate the camera app, dedicated shutter button, and even control the zoom levels.
Both smartphones come with OLED displays. The Pro variant is equipped with a larger 6.78-inch FullHD+ 120Hz OLED display while the non-Pro model has a relatively small 6.59-inch FullHD+ 120Hz OLED screen.
The chassis of the two smartphones are rated for IP69 dust and water resistance. They do have larger-than-average batteries with the Find X8 packing a 5,630mAh silicon-battery while the Find X8 Pro has a 5,910mAh battery. They will support 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The global variants of the Find X8 series will be equipped with Android 15 and ColorOS 15.
The OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro will make their global debut on November 21, 2024 in Bali, Indonesia.
Given OPPO’s release cycle, there may be some hope for these flagships to arrive in the Philippines in the future. Stay tuned.
