OPPO has just trademarked the name Find Z in the European Union Intellectual Property Office. As the naming convention suggests, the OPPO Find Z might just be the successor to last year’s OPPO Find X.
Based on the information available, it seems that the OPPO Find Z may have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip. This means that the device will also come with better AI. The smartphone may also be OPPO’s first 5G device since Qualcomm’s latest chip does support 5G.
The OPPO Find Z is expected to sport a 10x camera that can achieve lossless zoom. Aside from a telephoto lens, the device may have a 3D ToF camera for AR. It has also been suggested that the smartphone may have a bigger under-the-display fingerprint scanner.
OPPO has also been working on a new smartphone under the moniker Poseidon. Spotted at Geekbench, Poseidon also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 under the hood.
Could the OPPO Find Z and Poseidon be the same device? It seems that we have to wait until OPPO debuts the Find Z.
