The OPPO Reno5 has been officially set to launch in the Philippines next month. It seems that we will be getting both 4G and 5G variants. Both models will come with a quad camera setup and a 90Hz display.
The OPPO Reno5 5G is getting a 6.43-inch OLED panel while the 4G version has a similarly sized AMOLED screen. The two displays come with 90Hz refresh rate and a 2400 x 1080 refresh rate while the OLED panel gets an edge up in brightness at 600nits.
In terms of imaging, both come with a 64MP f/1.7 main camera, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide, and two 2MP f/2.4 lenses for macro and depth shooters. To make up for the lack of 5G connectivity, the 4G version has a 44MP f/2.4 front camera while the 5G model has a slightly smaller 32MP f/2.4 selfie lens.
The camera systems on the Reno5 come with new toys to tinker with for both video and photos. These include AI Highlight Video, Adaptive Brightness Adjustment, Adaptive Dynamic Range, and Adaptive Noise Reduction.
The OPPO Reno5 5G gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The 4G version, on the other hand, receives a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. Both come with around a 4,300mAh battery with the former supporting 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 charging and the latter getting 50W SuperVOOC.
OPPO Philippines is still keeping tight-lipped about more details of the OPPO Reno5 4G and 5G. Aside from its vague February 2021 launch date, price and availability are yet to be announced.
