Philippines has not really felt OPPO’s more premium smartphone offerings in the past. That fact, however, may just change since OPPO may be bringing their more high-end R-series in the local market with a teaser posted via their official Facebook page.

This decision to bring the OPPO R-series may have been due to the release of the Find X. Introduced in the Philippine market back in late July, the Find X may have been too much of a jump in price for those looking for a premium OPPO experience.
Previously, the Philippines was only home to OPPO’s F- and A-series smartphones, which was positioned at the mid-range and lower-range segments, respectively. With the Find X priced at a whopping PhP 49,995, OPPO didn’t have any smartphones to fill the gap between the F9 and Find X.
The latest release from OPPO in their R-series was the OPPO R15 back in March. Packed with a Helio P60 SoC with 6GB of RAM, a 6.28-inch AMOLED screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, as well as a dual rear camera setup, the OPPO R15 could make its way into the market.
All of this is just speculation at this time. OPPO may be skipping the R15 in lieu of the next smartphone in the R-series. We’ll just have to watch out in the meantime.
