In Overwatch 2, players must unlock new characters in order to play them. Get to know how to unlock the new hero, Kiriko, in Overwatch 2 Season 1, conditions, and more using this guide.
The easiest way to unlock Kiriko is to pay for her using the Battle Pass. Upon purchase, you immediately get Kiriko as a tier 1 unlock together with a couple of skins. Not only that but you also get to enjoy the benefits of the paid tiers of Season 1 Battle Pass. But what if you can’t be bothered for paying for the Battle Pass?
Read the Kiriko guide to know how to use her in battle.
The Season 1 Battle Pass for Overwatch 2 costs 1,000 Overwatch Coins or US$9.99. You can go for the Battle Pass plus 20 more tiers for US$19.99.
The other method is to unlock Kiriko by reaching Level 55 of the Battle Pass. She can be found as a free unlock tier so she’s free and up for grabs. The condition is that you have to play a lot and reach Level 55. It might take a lot of time but you do get to have her as part of your roster forever (or until Overwatch 3 comes out!)
If you wish to go the free route, you can continuously play and grind to finally unlock Kiriko. In order to do so, try to finish the challenges that are offered daily. They give a good amount of points to progress your Battle Pass by one level per day. Also, weekly and seasonal challenges grant you with decent amounts to help you advance a bit further.

Kiriko is a Support first introduced in the first season of Overwatch 2. Unlike the other heroes, she can only be unlocked by either playing the Battle Pass or purchasing it outright. She’s a mobile all-around support that can heal and buff her allies.
