After expanding to East Metro Manila, PLDT isn’t stopping improving their Fiber services. The telco has announced that they have expanded their lines in Cavite, fully covering 23 cities and municipalities in Cavite.
“PLDT Home Fibr now covers all 23 cities and municipalities of Cavite,” PLDT FVP and Head of Consumer Business for Market Development Oscar A. Reyes, Jr. said. “As the country’s first-ever Fibr-powered Smart Province, Cavite’s residents and businesses now have access to PLDT’s robust, reliable internet and leading digital services to strengthen their connections at home and at work.”
Residential areas from Bacoor to General Trias, encompassing Citihomes (Bacoor), Sea Breeze Subdivision (Cavite City), Legian Subdivision (Imus), Avida Residences (Dasmariñas), Boston Heights (Kawit), Poblacion/Town Proper (Alfonso, Amadeo, Magallanes, Maragondon, Mendez, and Ternate), Ponderosa Leisure Farms (Silang), Alta Monte Subdivision (Tagaytay), Lancaster Estate (General Trias), and more now have PLDT coverage.
PLDT is expecting its fiber-to-the-home services to cover 4 million homes by the end of 2017. At this time, they have covered more than 3.3 million homes. They are also using hybrid fiber technologies to boost data speeds up to 600 – 700 Mbps over copper lines.
