PLDT Home aims to elevate the Fiber experience in the Philippines by launching its Gigabit Fiber Plans, which will offer up to 10Gbps Internet speeds for its customers.
The Gigabit Fiber Plans will consist of several plans: 1Gbps, 2.5Gbps, 5Gbps, and 10Gbps. These will be bundled with premium video content, top-of-the-line devices, exclusive perks and rewards, and Internet security from Kaspersky.
These plans will put Internet speeds on par with first world countries such as the US, South Korea, and Norway. “The Gigabit Fiber plans will initially allow a select group of customers to experience first-world level connectivity. But that will soon change with PLDT’s investment in new technology and network upgrade,” said Jeremiah de la Cruz, PLDT senior vice president and head of customer business and PLDT Home. PLDT will be rolling out its XGS-PON networking to facilitate Gigabit Fiber plans “so that every Filipino home could experience first-world Internet access,” he added.
As PLDT widens its network footprint and invest more in new technology, they expect the costs of ultrafast broadband services to ease and make it available to a wider market.
