PLDT-Smart now offers free access to StaySafe.ph

PLDT Inc. through its Enterprise group is providing Smart, TNT, and Sun subscribers free access to StaySafe.ph in line with its support for COVID-19 response initiatives. StaySafe.ph is a newly launched emergency response website, which allows users to answer a series of questions about their health without revealing their personal identity.

StaySafe.ph is a website that allow its users to answer questions regarding their health with revealing their identity. Based on the given responses, the online platform will classify individuals as being in good health, or experiencing mild symptoms or severe conditions of the COVID-19 virus.

This information will allow health care providers of local governments and private sector organization to assist people with COVID-related health concerns. The data will also be translated into a “heat map” that shows health authorities the distribution of possible COVID-19 cases in different areas. This information may help authorities take proper actions to control the pandemic.

PLDT Enterprise has partnered with StaySafe.ph’s developer Multisys Technologies Corporation to whitelist the website. This allows Smart, TNT, and Sun subscribers to access the site without consuming mobile data allocations.

StaySafe.ph will also be launching a mobile app available for Android and iOS devices. Like the website, it will also be free to access for Smart, TNT, and Sun Subscribers without using up your data allocation.

We at PLDT and Smart believe that digital tech can play a big role in fighting the COVID pandemic by providing people with timely medical information and health authorities with real-time information about how the virus infection is spreading.  By giving mobile phone users free access to StaySafe.ph, we hope to empower them to do their part in ‘flattening the curve’,” said Jovy Hernandez, ePLDT President & CEO and SVP & Head of PLDT and Smart Enterprise Business Groups.
