Pokemon Go Now Officially Available in the Philippines!

Rejoice as for August 6 is now known as the day that Pokemon Go released. Users of both Android and Apple smartphones in Southeast Asia can now get a taste of the augmented-reality game officially. That of course, includes our lovely archipelago, the Philippines.

Finally without viruses!

The good thing about it all is that anyone can do it without having to tinker or do magic with their phones. The official download can be found in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

To know if your phone is supported, check out this requirements list provided by Niantic Labs:

Android

  • Android 4.4 to Android 6.0.1
    (Android N will not be supported until the official Android release)
  • Preferred resolution of 720×1280 pixels (Not optimized for tablet)
  • Strong internet connection (Wi-Fi, 3G, or 4G)
  • GPS and Location Services

iOS

  • iPhone 5+
  • iOS 8+
  • Strong internet connection (Wi-Fi, 3G, or 4G)
  • GPS and Location Services
  • Jailbroken devices are not supported
Pokemon Go was released with massive success worldwide last July 6, 2016. So widely accepted in fact that people got into trouble due to their concentration in becoming a trainer. Do watch out for your surroundings when you play. Happy hunting!
