The version of Popcorn time for web is now shutting down after just a couple of days online. Browser Popcorn was launched this weekend as a glorious way to stream pirated movies and TV shows from the web using torrent, and it was an awesome day for pirates everywhere.

The site’s owner who was identified as 15-year-old Milan Kragujevic stated that he received a cease and desist order from the MPAA; they have also said to have gone after his domain and hosting provider. After switching to different hosting and domains, the young pirate decided to quit and finally shutdown the piracy site.

“It was a nice ride, but it’s time to move on. I will be distancing myself from further development of Browser Popcorn.” He said that it was never meant to be “a battle of piracy” but it was “an experiment with the streaming technology.”

Rest in peace, browser popcorn. You’ll be remembered forever.
