Razer has been in the mechanical keyboard market for 7 years now. Their flagship mechanical keyboard, the BlackWidow Ultimate, has undergone major changes in the last few years. This iteration, however, now comes with IP54 rating for splash and dust resistance.
Aside from the IP54 certification, the new BlackWidow Ultimate comes with Razer’s own Green Mechanical Switches that requires 50g of force to actuate with 10-key roll-over anti-ghosting. These switches are expected to have an 80-million keystroke lifespan.
Of course, individually backlit keys can be controlled via Razer Synapse for dynamic lighting effects. The lighting is further enhanced by the green-colored bottom plate of the keyboard. Unfortunately, the BlackWidow Ultimate only comes with green LEDs not RGB lighting. Perhaps a Chroma version will be released in the future.
The Razer BlackWidow Ultimate will retail at USD 109.99 at the Razer Online Store by the end of the year.
