With Razer’s announcement of their smartphone coming nearer and nearer, IGZO, a U.K. smartphone retailer, have posted the initial specs of the brand’s gaming-centric smartphone. The most interesting part of the spec sheet is its rumored 120Hz display.
The smartphone’s display is a 5.72-inch display with a refresh rate of 120Hz with a wide color gamut. For the uninitiated, 120Hz displays can deliver a smoother experience as it can display a lot more of frames compared to a common 60Hz display, provided that the GPU can handle it.
To push the 120Hz display is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC with 8GB of RAM. Razer’s smartphone is also rumored to come with dual cameras (12MP, f/1.75 wide angle and 13MP, f/2.6 zoom) with auto focus and LED Flash. Audio is handled by Dolby ATMOS sound with dual front-facing speakers and amplifiers. Providing juice to the smartphone’s beastly specs is a 4000mAh lithium-ion battery complemented by Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+.
We’ll know more about Razer’s smartphone when they make they make it official.
