The realme 13 5G and realme 13+ 5G are officially coming to the Philippines a few months after the Pro variants made their debut. Both are positioned at a more affordable pricing point as their Pro models, but still come with plenty to like.
The base realme 13 5G packs the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chip complemented by 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Its imaging consists of a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS and a 16MP f/2.45 front-facing camera. As for its display, it has a 6.72-inch 2400 x 1080 IPS screen that runs at 120Hz.
On the other hand, the realme 13+ 5G comes with a more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy 5G with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It has the same 50MP f/1.8 OIS main camera, but its has been upgraded to a Sony LYT-600 sensor.
The chassis of the 13+ 5G comes with IP65 dust and water resistance to make it more resilient from everyday use. The display has been upgraded to a 6.67-inch OLED panel at 2400 x 1080 with 120Hz refresh rate and support for Rainwater Smart Touch.
Both smartphones are powered by a 5,000mAh battery with the 13 5G supporting 45W Fast Charge and the 13+ 5G having faster 80W Ultra Charge charging. The series also come with a Vapor Chamber Cooling System to maintain optimal temperature even during heavy workloads.
Prominent names in the local gaming industry such as Falcons AP Bren, OhmyV33nus, and Wise Gaming, have already praised the series for their performance, temperature, and battery life.
Official pricing and availability of the realme 13 5G and realme 13+ 5G are yet to be announced. More details will be available once the two launch on October 24, 2024. Stay tuned.
