Two of the most awaited smartphones from realme has officially launched in the Philippines. After a bit of a delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the realme 6 and 6 Pro and their 90Hz displays and mid-range chipsets will now be available in Philippine stores.

realme 6

The realme 6 comes with a 6.5-inch 2400 x 1080 IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate and can produce up to 480nits of brightness. Inside its chassis is a MediaTek Helio G90T chipset with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of expandable storage. Just at the top left of the display is a punch-hole where its 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera can peek out.

The smartphone’s back now comes with a comet-inspired look. The back also houses its quad camera setup with a 64MP f/1.8 main camera, 8MP f/2.3 ultrawide, a 2MP f/2.4 macro lens, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor.

The device has Android 10 with the brand’s realme UI. Battery capacity is rated at 4,300mAh while charging has been improved from its predecessors to 30W VOOC fast charging. realme has also moved the fingerprint scanner to the power button instead of the usual rear-mounted unit or an in-display scanner.

realme 6 Pro

The realme 6 Pro has a smidge larger display at 6.6-inch though the resolution at 2400 x 1080 remains the same. A 90hz refresh rate is also available for a smoother smartphone experience. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of expandable storage.

Its rear design is pattern to that of a lightning bolt. Its cameras have been improved over its contemporaries with the device having a 64MP f1/.8 main camera, a 12MP f/2.45 telephoto lens, an 8MP f/2.3 ultrawide, and a 2MP f/2.4 macro lens.

Like the 6, the realme 6 Pro has Android with realme UI. A 4,300mAh battery supplies power to the device and can be charged via a 30W fast charging connection through its USB Type-C port. The fingerprint scanner has also been integrated to the power button removing the in-display and rear-mounted options though you can still use more traditional means of security such as Face Unlock.
