realme Philippines has posted a suspicious image on their official Facebook page teasing the arrival of a 108MP device. The teaser shows of a 108MP camera, which may point to the realme 8 Pro launching in the Philippines.
Details are still sparse about the device’s arrival in the Philippines but based on their recent track record, the 8 Pro is one of the devices they currently have with an 108MP main shooter at the back.
Looking at its international launch, the realme 8 Pro comes with quad camera setup at the back with its 108MP f/1.9 main shooter complemented by an 8MP f/2.25 ultrawide, a 2MP f/2.4 macro, and a 2MP f/2.4 mono lens.
The device also comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G, up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage, and a 6.4-inch 2400 x 1080 SuperAMOLED display. It is powered by a 4,500mAh battery that supports the brands 50W SuperDart charging.
It doesn’t make sense for realme to only introduce the Pro variant of the 8 series, which is why it is safe to assume that the realme 8 will be arriving in the Philippines as well. Its international launch tells that it has a 6.4-inch 2400 x 1080 SuperAMOLED display, up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage, and a Helio G95 chip.
The realme 8 does not have a 108MP f/1.9 main shooter but it has a quad camera setup as well composed of a 64MP f/1.9 main lens, an 8MP f/2.25 ultrawide, and two 2MP f/2.4 shooters for macro and black and white.
It gets its power from a 4,500mAh battery and supports 30W Dart Charge. It runs on Android 11 and ships out with the brand’s new realme UI 2.0.
While the teaser poses a bright future for realme fans in the Philippines, pricing and availability for the realme 8 and 8 Pro are yet to be announced. Since the teaser was just posted at the tail-end of April, we expect that the realme 8 series will make their debut sometime within May.
