Realme Philippines has officially announced that the Realme C2 will arrive in the country on June 8, 2019. Aiming to shake once more the entry-level market, the smartphone will come with a ton of improvements while keeping its budget-friendly price.

Improved Design

One of the most notable improvements on the Realme C2 is its Diamond Cut design. Instead of having a flat rear, the C2 now comes with a 3-layer painting and pearl shining particles. Each “brick” of the rear have different directions to mimic the changing effect in nature like the sky, a starry night, or water.

As for its display, the C2 has a 6.1-inch screen with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 that leads to a resolution of 1560 x 720. The brand has also minimized the notch by using a Dewdrop design.

A faster chip

The Realme C1 came with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450. The Realme C2, meanwhile, will come with a Helio P22 chip courtesy of MediaTek. The Helio P22 chip inside the smartphone is clocked higher at 2.0GHz and comes with a 12nm lithography.

It doesn’t hurt that its chip comes complemented by up to 3GB of RAM (depending on the variant) and up to 32GB of internal storage. It’s also worth noting that the C2 has a triple-cut SIM tray that allows two SIM cards and a 256GB MicroSD to be used.

What about the cameras and battery?

The camera and the battery of the Realme C2 remains largely the same as its predecessor. The rear houses a 13MP + 2MP dual camera setup with support for Chroma Boost, Bokeh Effects, HDR, and 80fps slow motion at 480p. The C2 retains its capabilities of lasting throughout the day with its 4,000mAh battery.
