The realme C55 has made its official debut in Indonesia. On paper, it is a bog-standard entry-level smartphone but the company is implementing the Dynamic Island-like Mini Capsule feature on the device.
Mini Capsule will be able to display battery alerts, charging status, and data consumption. realme will be rolling out additional features down the road like step count and walking distance via an update.
The C55 comes with a MediaTek Helio G88 chipset with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage, a 6.72-inch FullHD+ 90Hz IPS screen, and Android 13 with realme UI 4.0 out-of-the-box. Imaging is kept pretty simple with a 64MP main plus a 2MP depth at the back and an 8MP selfie shooter.
As tradition for the C series, the smartphone comes with a 5,000mAh battery. Charging speeds, however, is improved thanks to its support to 33W SuperVOOC charging over the usual 18W speeds we find on other entries in the lineup.
