The realme C63 has just recently arrived in the Philippines last month. Over in India, however, realme has just launched the realme C63 5G – a 5G variant of the C63 with a new 5G chipset.
The biggest upgrade of the C63 5G over its 4G sibling is the chipset. Instead of a Unisoc T612 chip, the 5G model now comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chip. It’s complemented by 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Another upgrade is its screen. It’s a 6.67-inch 1604 x 720 IPS display, but the refresh rate has been bumped up to 120Hz from 90Hz. It will run on Android 14 with realme UI 5.0 plus a 5,000mAh battery keeps the smartphone running through the day.
There’s a questionable downgrade – the charging speed. The original 4G version supported 45W SuperVOOC, while the 5G variant is capped at 10W. Given its large battery, there’s going to be a wait for a full charge.
