realme Product Marketing Head Francis Wong has confirmed in a tweet that the realme 14 Pro, 14 Pro, 14T, 15, and 15 Pro are getting 3 Android updates and 3 years of security updates.
Models like the realme 14 5G wasn’t exactly included in the tweet, but the tweet added that the update is a “… commitment for all our future Number Pro, Number, and Number T product lines.” This comfortably puts their future midrange devices with longer support, but older devices like the realme 12 and 13 series with shorter support periods.
While not as long of a support period as other brands, it is a step in the right direction. Other brands have started offering longer and longer support for their midrange devices with Samsung promising 6 years of support. There are even longer support for HONOR’s flagship Magic Series reaching 7 years of software support moving forward.
