After just a year of operations, Realme has been able to claw its way up to the fourth spot of the top smartphone brands in the Philippines in Q4 2019, according to the global market analyst firm Canalys. Based on their research, Realme shot up their year-on-year sell-in shipment by a staggering 709 percent.
Realme is able to establish a strong presence in the Philippines by releasing six smartphone strategically placed in various price segments. The brand also understands that the Filipino market demand real value for their money.
The Realme 3 series, Realme C series, Realme 5 series, and the Realme XT cover a wide gamut of price ranges that’s sure to fit the budget of every Filipino. The brand has partnered with SM Supermalls, Home Credit, and Qualcomm to cement their status as a smartphone brand. In addition, they also have strong ties to the local mobile gaming industry with its partnership with Mobile Legends developer Moonton.
While initially an online brand available via Lazada and Shopee, Realme has successfully strengthened its presence in the retail space by having 4,500 partner stores, 280 kiosks, and 24 concept stores nationwide.
Realme is determined to keep their momentum strong by keeping the same brand DNA in its products and promotional approach. The brand is also expanding their market by adding Artificial Internet of Things (AIoT) products such as the Realme Wireless Buds, Realme Powerbank, Realme Buds Air, and more to their lineup.
