Realme has forged ties with e-commerce giant Lazada to make its products available to the Filipino consumers and in hope to bolster the e-commerce industry in the Philippines.
With this partnership, Realme is boosting the Filipinos’ confidence in online shopping channels by offering its smartphones in competitive prices that can be had in just a few steps. With more than 50% of Filipinos increasing their online purchases, the mall-centric mindset of the Filipinos is increasingly being challenged.
Realme, with a focus on the younger generation, “We see the requirements of the emerging young generation and the opportunities these entail. We started in India six months ago, but SEA is one of the most-important overseas markets for Realme. We are now present in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and in the next few days, the Philippines. Aside from entering the Philippines on November 29th, Realme has also been pegged as the hottest selling smartphone brand in Southeast Asia for Lazada’s 11.11 sale breaking the sales records of its three products afer selling 40,000 units in just 21 minutes. The brand has also been named as the Triple Smartphone Champion for the fastest sales growth, highest total unit sales, and single product sales from a new smartphone brand.
