The Redmi K80 Pro has officially launched in China, and it’s bringing the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The flagship chipset is complemented by plenty of hardware including up to 16GB of LPDDR5X of RAM and up to a terabyte of UFS 4.0 storage.
To keep the performance of its chip steady, Xiaomi is implementing a 3D dual-loop vapor chamber that claims to reduce temperature by up to 3°C. There’s even a discrete D1 Chip that handles upscaling and frame generation to improve performance and keep some of the load off the chipset.
The K80 Pro packs a 50MP f/1.6 main camera, a 50MP f/2.0 2.5x optical zoom telephoto lens, a 32MP f/2.2 ultrawide, and a 20MP front-facing camera. It also gets a 6.67-inch 3200 x 1440 120Hz OLED screen with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Powering the smartphone is a 6,000mAh battery that supports 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It will run on Android 15 with Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0. Wireless connectivity includes 5G, WiFi 7, and Bluetooth 5.0. Its chassis is rated for IP68 dust and water resistance for added resistance.
The Redmi K80 Pro starts at CNY 3,700 or around PhP 30,000 when directly converted. It will come in three colorways and a special Lamborghini collaboration that includes Lamborghini-branded accessories and packaging.
No word yet as to when the Redmi K80 Pro will debut on a global stage.
