A new Xiaomi tablet is here in the Philippines – the Redmi Pad Pro. It now comes with an upgraded chipset for better performance, WiFi 6 support, and a large display paired with quad speakers for a better entertainment experience.

The Redmi Pad Pro features a 12.1-inch 2560 x 1600 display running at 120Hz with Gorilla Glass 3. They have raised the brightness to reach 600nits while under High Brightness Mode so you can use the tablet outside easily. Complementing the display is a quad stereo speaker setup that supports Dolby Atmos so you can watch videos with crispness and clarity
Under the hood is a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Its storage can be expanded through its microSD slot. Powering the tablet is a 10,000mAh battery with 33W Fast Charging to keep you working or playing throughout the day.
Thanks to Xiaomi HyperOS it can easily be integrated to daily use. When paired with the Redmi Smart Keyboard and Redmi Smart Pen, it can be used as a laptop alternative for study or work. Its Smart Pen supports 4096 levels of pressure with 240Hz sampling rate to ensure a responsive writing experience and it has an 80mAh battery that can last up to 12 hours. On the other hand, the Redmi Smart Keyboard emulates a desktop-typing experience with 1.3mm key travel distance and 19mm keypitch.

Price and Availability
The Redmi Pad Pro starts at PhP 14,999 in the Philippines. Two storage variants are being offered: 8GB/128GB for PhP 14,999 and 8GB/256GB for PhP 15,999. Until July 11, 2024, however, you can get an early bird discount that brings the 128GB and 256GB variants of the Pad Pro to PhP 12,799 and PhP 13,799, respectively.
The brand is also bringing its accessories into the Philippine market: the Redmi Smart Keyboard for PhP 3,599, the Redmi Smart Pen for PhP 2,999, and the Redmi Pad Pro Cover for PhP 1,199. Shopee, however, is offering them as exclusive add-on deals that brings their prices down to PhP 3,099 for the keyboard, PhP 2,499 for the Pen, and PhP 599 for the Cover.
