Xiaomi is starting 2025 with heavy hitter, the Redmi Turbo 4. As their first smartphone of the year, it packs the new Dimensity 8400 chip which they have tuned to turn it into an Ultra variant.
Its Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset is complemented by up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. At the front is a 6.77-inch 1.5K LTPS 120Hz OLED screen with Gorilla Glass 7i protection, fingerprint scanner, and a 20MP front-facing camera.
At the rear of the Redmi Turbo 4 is a dual-tone finish plus a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP LYT-600 main camera and an 8MP ultrawide shooter. It will run on Android 15 with HyperOS 2 out-of-the-box.
Being touted as a gaming smartphone, its battery has been enlarged to 6,550mAh and supports 90W charging. We also get an IP68-rated chassis, IR blaster, and stereo speakers.
The Redmi Turbo 4 starts at CNY 1,999 (PhP 16,000) for the base 12GB/256GB model. Its top-end 16GB/512GB reaches CNY 2,499 or around PhP 20,000 when directly converted.
It is expected that the Redmi Turbo 4 will make its way into the global market as the Poco X7 Pro.
