The ROG Ally X is set to launch in the Philippines on August 23, 2024. A retailer, however, may have just unveiled the local price of ASUS’ next-generation handheld.
ROG Ally X Price in the Philippines
According to GameOne’s website, the ROG Ally X will be priced at PhP 56,995 in the Philippines. This pricing is PhP 13,000 more than the highest variant of the original Ally when it was launched last year. As reference, the global price of the handheld is set at USD 799 or around PhP 45,000 when directly converted.
Introduced back in Computex 2024, the ROG Ally X is a direct upgrade of the Ally. It still comes with an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme chip, but its RAM has been upgraded to 24GB LPDDR5 from the original’s 12GB LPDDR5.
They have redesigned the chassis with a new black colorway, better cooling, and the capacity to put in up to a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD with a 2280 formfactor. Its cooling system now comes with additional exhausts and fan blades, which results into 24% more airflow and the touchscreen experiencing 6°C less heat.
The ROG XG Mobile port has been replaced by a USB 4.0 Type-C and a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C ports. Its battery has been doubled to 80Whr for longer gaming sessions.
The official pricing and availability of the ROG Ally X will be announced on its launch on August 23.
