ROG Phone 6D series debuts, flaunts Dimensity 9000+ chipset

ASUS has officially launched the ROG Phone 6D series, the Dimensity variants of the previously Snapdragon-based ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro. Two smartphones compose the range: the ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate. The two sport a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset, UFS 3.1 storage, 6.78-inch 2448 x 1080 165Hz AMOLED screens, and triple rear cameras with a 50MP f/1.9 Sony IMX776 main lens.

Both smartphones largely share the same specifications with their difference found at the rear design and storage variants – the 6D will come with 16GB/256GB models while the Ultimate can be outfitted with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.

The Ultimate will also come with a unique AeroActive Portal at the back to give air a direct path to its internals with a motorized hinge. The assembly automatically raises when its AeroActive Cooler 6 is connected for better thermals and performance.

The new range still comes with a 6,000mAh batteries with 65W USB PD charging support. They will also support existing ROG Phone accessories for improved controls and ecosystem.
