ASUS has announced that the ROG Phone 7 series will be launching in the Philippines this June 15, 2023. It is a direct upgrade from last year’s ROG Phone 6 series with updated specifications including the flagship-class Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, better cooling, and improved speakers.
ROG Phone 7 Series
The ROG Phone 7 series is composed of two models: the ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. Both devices share the same key specifications but the latter comes with a 2-inch OLED display at the back called “ROG Vision” that can be customized via software and an AeroActive Portal that opens to cool down its vapor chamber.
As mentioned, the 7 series will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 that promises 15% faster performance while still being 15% more power efficient than last generation. ASUS is also outfitting the smartphones with UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5X RAM to keep up with the new chipset.
Cooling is improved with a new GameCool 7 thermal system that comes with a rapid-cycle vapor chamber design. This promises to increase heat dissipation efficiency by up to 168% than the previous generation.
Their display is still a 6.78-inch 2448 x 1080 165Hz AMOLED display. The camera department also remains unchanged with a 50MP f/1.8 main, a 13MP f/2.2 ultrawide, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro at the back though the front-facing camera is upped to a 32MP shooter.

Price and Availability
Pricing and availability of the ROG Phone 7 series in the Philippines are yet to be announced. More details will be available once it launches on Thursday June 15, 2023.
Its Philippine launch will be livestreamed on the official ROG Philippines Facebook page. The event will be hosted by Leo and will pit two teams against each other including Ann Mateo and Manjean Faldas on Team Storm White and Patricia Reyes and Khenji Sato on Team Phantom Black.
