ROG Phone 9 series launch in PH, starts at PhP 44,995

The next generation refresh of ASUS’ flagship gaming smartphone series have officially arrived in the Philippines. The ROG Phone 9 series will come with flagship-level chipsets, improved cooling, and faster displays for an even better gaming experience.

We are getting three out of the four variants in the country: the ROG Phone 9 FE, ROG Phone 9 Pro, and the ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition.

First up is the ROG Phone 9 FE, which is considered to be the runt of the lot packing an older, but still capable, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

On the other hand, the ROG Phone 9 Pro and the ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition will come with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM for the former and a whopping 24GB LPDDR5X RAM for the latter.

For cameras, all three will come with a 50MP f/1.9 Sony LYTIA 700 main camera with OIS supplemented by a 13MP f/2.2 ultrawide and a 32MP f/2.5 front-facing shooter. The FE will have a 5MP f/2.4 macro at the back while both Pro and Pro Edition comes with a 32MP f/2.4 telephoto.

All three share the same display – a 6.78-inch 2400 x 1080 AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 that runs at 185Hz. This is one of the fastest screens in the market yet, and some games will be able to take advantage of its higher refresh rate via the Game Genie software.

These smartphones will run on Android 15 with several in-house AI enhancements from ROG. X Sense 3.0 lets AI auto-upgrade character skills, X Capture 2.0 automatically clips important moments from gameplay, AI Grabber 2.0 recognizes text to display important tips in your games, and AI Noise Cancellation reduces background noise from your mic.

Their chassis are now rated for IP68 dust and water resistance for improved weather resistance, and AirTriggers are still present to give you extra buttons to take advantage of while playing games.

ROG has gone above and beyond in this generation’s AniMe Vision as they increased the resolution to 648 LEDs on the Pro models. This increase in resolution lets you have more detailed and animated images, GIFs, and even play basic games like Snake or Invaders.

The ROG Phone 9 FE is powered by a 5,500mAh battery while the Pro Series come with a larger 5,800mAh reserve. The three of them support 65W USB-C charging and 15W Qi Charging.

The ROG Phone 9 series will start at PhP 44,995 in the Philippines. The ROG Phone 9 FE 12GB/256GB is priced at PhP 44,995 with an early bird promo of PhP 39,995. On the other hand, the ROG Phone 9 Pro 16GB/512GB and ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition 24GB/1TB are priced at PhP 62,995 and PhP 76,995, respectively, with the Pro Edition being bundled with an AeroActive Cooler X Pro.

Additionally, all three variants will come with an early bird bundle which includes an ROG Chill Case and ROG Antibacterial Glass Screen protector worth PhP 3,990.

The ROG Phone 9 series are now available in the Philippines through ASUS, ROG, and multi-brand stores nationwide with one-year local warranty. You’ll also be able to get them through Home Credit’s 12-month 0% installment plans at any supported branch.
