The ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X have officially arrived in the Philippines. Their next-generation handhelds were developed in partnership with Xbox to offer the best possible handheld gaming experience in one package.

The ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X share similar hardware like a 7-inch 1920 x 1080 120Hz display with AMD FreeSync Premium and Gorilla Glass Victus Collection and WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 support.

The two come with contoured grips inspired by Xbox Wireless Controllers with two additional assignable back buttons. Controller feedback is enhanced with HD haptics and 6-Axis IMU.

The only real difference between the two are their processors and batteries. The ROG Xbox Ally packs an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor with 16GB LPDDR5X memory and 512GB SSD, and a 67Whr battery while the ROG Xbox Ally X is equipped with an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor with 24GB LPDDR5X memory and 1TB SSD, and an 80Whr battery.

These AMD processors take advantage of AMD FidelitFX Super Resolution (FSR) and AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) to boost graphics and performance.

Thanks to their partnership with Xbox, the Xbox app can now preload a game’s shaders during download. This allows supported games to launch much faster while using less battery on first play. Xbox is currently working on adding this feature to even more games over time.

A new handheld compatibility program ensures day-one users to have the best possible experience. At launch, compatible games in the game library will sport Handheld Optimized or Mostly Compatible badges.
