RSG, a Singapore-based professional esports organization, has announced its expansion into the Philippines. Still early in their entry into the local scene, they are now developing esports teams and talents including drafting Elyson “GHOST Wrecker” Caranza.
Aside from Wrecker, RSG’s lineup for the Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines Season 8 will include talents such as:
The team will be led by Team Captain Kenneth Jiane “Kenji” Villa. The players will be under the supervision of Coach Brian “Panda” Lim, who led the Philippines to a Gold Medal win at the 30th SEA games.
In addition, the PH brand of RSG will be under the command of Country Manager Richardson “RJ” Jacinto who has more than 10 years of industry experience in esports including Mineski and PlayPark.
Currently, Philippines is one of the leading nations in Southeast Asia in terms of gaming. Market research firm Newzoo’s study points to 43 million gamers have spent USD 572 million in games in 2019 making Philippines the 25th biggest market by games revenues.
