Launched late last year, two new budget-friendly smartphones – the Samsung Galaxy A12 and A02s – have officially arrived in the Philippines to allow the younger crowd to enjoy the Samsung Galaxy experience.
The Samsung Galaxy A12 ships with a 6.5-inch PLS IPS display at 1600 x 720 with a sole 8MP f/2.2 selfie camera at the front. At the back are four cameras: a 48MP f/2.0 main camera, a 5MP f/2.2 ultrawide, and two 2MP f/2.4 lenses for macro and depth.
Inside is a MediaTek Helio P35 chip with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. You will also get a 5,000mAh battery and support for 15W fast charging through its USB Type-C port at the bottom. By default, the Galaxy A12 comes with Android 10 with the brand’s One UI.
The more budget-friendly of the two smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy A02 comes with a rather large 6.5-inch PLS IPS screen at 1600 x 720 with a 5MP f/2.2 selfie camera. It also ships with a triple camera setup composed of a 13MP f/2.0 main camera, a 2MP f/2.4 macro lens, and a 2MP f2.4 depth sensor.
It ships with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. It also comes with a 5,000mAh battery like the A12 as well as 15W Fast Charging via its USB Type-C port. Like with most of Samsung’s devices, it comes with Android 10 with One UI.
