Samsung is adding another entry into their A series. Silently launched internationally, the Samsung Galaxy A31 strangely resembles the brand’s previous entry with a more modest set of specifications.
Like most of Samsung’s smartphones nowadays, the Galaxy A31 comes with a 6.4-inch SuperAMOLED Infinity-U display with a 2400 x 1080 resolution. Instead of a punch-hole, the brand is using the previous generation notch to house its 20MP f/2.2 front-facing camera.
The rear is familiar as it looks the same as the design found on the Samsung Galaxy A71. The camera bump closely resembles the A71’s as well. In this case, the Galaxy A31 comes with a 48MP f/2.0 main camera, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide, a 5MP f/2.4 depth sensor, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro lens. The LED flash is also located within the rather large camera bump.
Inside the device is a Helio P65 chip from MediaTek backed by up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery charged via a 15W Fast Charging connection from its USB Type-C port.
