Samsung is upgrading their midrange offerings this year with the Galaxy A34 5G and A54 5G. Both are iterative updates from last year’s A series entries with new chipsets and design but some of the key specs remain the same including battery, charging speeds, and screens.
Previously, the A33 and A53 packed an Exynos 1280 chipset. This generation, however, Samsung is moving away from their chipset on the A34 5G with a Dimensity 1080 while the A54 5G stays in-house with an Exynos 1380 that has two more Cortex-A78 Big Cores.
Both come with triple rear camera setups. The A34 5G has a 48MP f/1.8 main lens, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro while the A54 5G has the same macro lens but has a higher resolution 50MP f/1.8 primary shooter and 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens.
Android 13 with One UI 5.1 are installed on the two. The pair have 5,000mAh batteries that support 25W Fast Charging, which similar as the last generation. Both are also rated at IP67 to withstand dust and up to 1 meter of fresh water for up to 30 minutes.
The launch was hosted by content creator and singer Renee Dominique while style icons Claudia Barretto and Juliana Gomez led guests on an experiential journey of the devices at the Awesome Zones Samsung has set up.

Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A34 5G and A54 5G are priced starting at PhP 19,990 and PhP 24,990, respectively. Base models will include 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. You can also choose a 256GB variants for the two smartphones but there will be an additional PhP 2,000 premium.
The Galaxy A54 5G and the Galaxy A34 5G can be had via the Samsung website, Samsung Experience Stores, authorized Samsung stores nationwide, Lazada, Shopee, Abenson.com, and MemoXpress Online.
