Samsung has already launched the S10 series to conquer the top-end market and the Samsung Galaxy M20 for the more budget-friendly market. This time around, Samsung has released two new mid-range devices, the Samsung Galaxy A50 and the Galaxy A30.

In terms of design, the Samsung Galaxy A50 and the Galaxy A30 is almost indistinguishable from each other. Both smartphones come with a notched Infinity-U SuperAMOLED display measuring at 6.4-inches with a resolution of 2340 x 1080.

At the notch of the Galaxy A30 is a 16MP f/2.0 front-facing shooter while the notch of the A50 hides a 25MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

At the rear of the Galaxy A50 are three cameras: a 25MP f/1.7 main shooter backed by a 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor and an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide shooter. The Galaxy A30, on the other hand, comes with a 16MP f/1.7 main camera and a 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor.

In terms of security, the Galaxy A30 comes with a rather traditional rear-mounted fingerprint scanner while the Galaxy A50 has an on-display fingerprint scanner.

Inside the Galaxy A50 is an Exynos 9610 octa-core chip with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A30 comes with a relatively modest Exynos 7904 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Both smartphones are powered by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery. The devices comes with a USB Type-C port at the bottom that is compatible with 15W fast-charging.

Both the Samsung Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50 will be sold for PhP 13,990 and PhP 17,990, respectively. Both smartphones will be available in authorized Samsung stores and online partners such as Abenson, Argomall, Lazada, MemoXpress, and Shopee starting March 30, 2019.

Those who will pre-order the Samsung Galaxy A50 until March 29, 2019 can get a free JBL Go 2, a mini tripod, and a 10,000mAh power battery. Getting the Samsung Galaxy A30 on March 30 until 31 will net a free JBL Go 2 speaker.
