Samsung is adding the Galaxy A52, Galaxy A52 5G, and Galaxy A72 to their extensive range of A series devices. This time around, all three smartphones offer increased imaging options and faster displays.
Samsung Galaxy A52 and A52 5G
The Samsung Galaxy A52 and its 5G variant shares the same 6.5-inchc Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080. The vanilla model will be getting a 90Hz refresh rate while the 5G model will come with a faster 120Hz refresh rate. Both devices also have a 32MP f/2.2 camera peeking at the front.
The Galaxy A52 series will be getting a quad camera setup at the back comprised of a 64MP f/1.8 main camera, a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide, a 5MP f/2.4 macro lens, and a 5M f/2.4 for depth perception. Battery capacity is also the same at 4,500mAh with support for 25W Fast Charging.
One of the main differences between the two, aside from the display, are their chipsets. The 4G version comes with the trusty Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G while the 5G variant has the more recent Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G. Regardless of chipset, the two come with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of expandable storage.
Samsung Galaxy A72
The Samsung Galaxy A72 is basically a larger version of the 4G model of the A52. It has a 6.7-inch 2400 x 1080 Super AMOLED display that runs at 90Hz. It also uses the same 32MP f/2.2 front facing camera and Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G with similar 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Battery capacity stays at the same 4,500mAh level and will also support 25W Fast Charging.
The quad camera arrangement at the back receives a bit of an enhancement. It sports the same 64MP f/1.8 main, 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide, and 5MP f/2.4 macro lenses but the last camera has been upgraded to an 8MP f/2.4 Telephoto Depth lens.
Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A52, Galaxy A52 5G, and Galaxy A72 will be available in the Philippines starting March 26, 2021. The brand, however, will be throwing in a couple of freebies for those who will adopt their new entries in the A series early.
Getting the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G online through the Samsung official stores from March 18 until April 4 will get a Free Buds + worth PhP 5,990. Meanwhile getting either of three devices via any Samsung Authorized Online Store within the same window will receive a free ItFit Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker worth PhP 2,090.
