Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy A71 5G and Galaxy A51 5G in the US. Although they share the share almost the same specifications as their 4G versions, the 5G models will be receiving a slightly altered exterior design and a new chip.
Like its 4G variant, the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O 2400 x 1080 display. The screen has a punch-hole near the top to house its 32MP f/2.2 front-facing camera.
A rather large camera is situated at the back for its quad-cameras. Its rear imaging system consists of a 64MP f/1.8 main camera, a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide, a 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro lens. There’s no fingerprint scanner to be found at the back since Samsung has integrated the scanner onto the screen.
Inside the redesigned chassis is an octa-core chip with two 2.2GHz cores and six 1.8GHz processors, which can only be presumed as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G. The smartphone will ship out in either 6GB or 8GB RAM configurations although both models will have 128GB of internal storage expandable up to 1TB via a MicroSD slot.
Powering the device is a 4,500mAh battery compatible with 25W Fast Charging. The Samsung Galaxy A71 5G is expected to ship out in three colors: Prism Cube Black, Prism Cube Silver, and Prism Cube Blue.
