Made with the feedback of its fans, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition has been officially launched with updated specifications and more color options compared to the vanilla Galaxy S20 which was launched earlier this year.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (or FE) comes with a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with a 2400 x 1080 resolution and runs at a 120Hz refresh rate. The uniform display is only broken by a punch-hole directly at the middle of its top portion for its 32MP f/2.2 selfie camera.
At the back is a triple camera arrangement composed of a 12MP f/1.8 main camera with Dual Pixel AF, a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide, and an 8MP f/2.4 telephoto lene. Aside from the 3x optical zoom that its telephoto lens offers, the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition also support up to 30x Super Space Zoom.
It receives a larger 4,500mAh battery compared to the 4,000mAh on the vanilla S20. Charging speeds largely stays the same at 25W and Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 is also supported by the S20 FE.

It seems that the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE will have 4G and 5G variants. 5G variants will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ while 4G models will have an Exynos 990 chip. Regardless of the chip, the device will be available in 6GB/8GB variants with 128GB storage capacity for the former and 128GB/256GB options for the latter.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is expected to make its way onto the market on October 2, 2020 at a starting price of USD 699 for the 5G variants. No word yet if it will arrive in the Philippines.
