Internationally launched just a few weeks ago, the latest and greatest yet in Samsung S series have now arrived in the Philippines.

Samsung Galaxy S20 and S20+

The Samsung Galaxy S20 comes with a 6.7-inch 20:9 Dynamic AMOLED display with a 3200 x 1440 resolution as well as a 120hz refresh rate.

Although the Samsung Galaxy S20 only comes with a smaller 6.2-inch display, it still packs the same Dynamic AMOLED screen and the same resolution.

Both displays come with a punch hole design at the top to house a front-facing camera instead of having the more exotic motorized platform. Both devices come with a 10MP f/2.2 selfie camera.

Both smartphones are encased in a shiny black exterior. Protruding from their reflective backs is a triple camera setup composed of a 12MP f/1.8 Main, a 12MP Ultrawide, and a 64MP f/2.0 Telephoto lens.

The new camera setup on the Galaxy S20 and S20+ allows both smartphones to reach 30x zoom as well as capture 8K 30fps videos.

The Galaxy S20 and S20+ share the same Exynos 990 chip with 8GB of RAM and expandable 128GB of internal storage. The former, however, has a smaller 4,000mAh battery while the S20+ has a 4,500mAh battery reserve.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra

The top dog in the Galaxy 20 series, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra has the latest and greatest technologies that the brand has put in a conventional smartphone to date.

The main difference of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra from its contemporaries is the camera setup. The massive camera bump at the rear houses a 108MP f/1.8 Main, a 48MP f/3.5 Telephoto lens, a 12MP f/2.2 Ultrawide and a ToF sensor.

To complement the larger pixel count is a larger sensor compared to last year’s S and Note series. Samsung claims that the sensor is 2.9 times larger and takes better low-light photos.

These improvements in the pixel count and sensor size allows the Galaxy S20 Ultra to capture photos with up to 100x zoom.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra largely share the same specifications for its display. It does have a larger 6.9-inch display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, Dynamic AMOLED 2.0 screen, and a 120hz refresh rate.

The punch hole display is still preserved with the Galaxy S20 Ultra to house its 40MP front-facing camera.

Though it comes with the same Exynos 990 chip bolstered by 128GB of internal storage and 12GB of RAM, the Galaxy 20 Ultra does support 5G connectivity unlike its brethren.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is the latest attempt from the brand to bring a classic design to the modern age. As the name suggests, the smartphone comes with a 6.7-inch display that folds to turn it to a device with a smaller footprint.

The 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED has a 21.9:9 aspect ratio and a 2636 x 1080 resolution that folds right in the middle.

The hideaway hinge in the middle of the screen allows for multiple angles of usage. A custom-built UX allows the device to switch seamlessly from a single screen smartphone to two 4.0-inch displays.

Though the Galaxy Z Flip already comes with two displays, Samsung has added a 1.1-inch Super AMOLED screen that acts as an always-on display for notifications.

The main camera on the Galaxy Z Flip is composed of a 12MP f/1.8 Main and a 12MP f/2.2 Ultrawide. Meanwhile, the front-camera is a 10MPf/2.4 shooter.

The bent chassis of the smartphone houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chip with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
