The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE has finally made its debut, and it brings both hardware and AI improvements over its predecessor. The device also revives the Exynos chipset unlike the rest of the Galaxy S25 lineup, which packs the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
The Galaxy S25 FE uses last year’s Exynos 2400 previously found on the Galaxy S24 series complemented by 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Samsung says that it uses a vapor chamber that’s 10% larger than before to improve performance and keep thermals in check.
Its cameras include a 50MP f/1.8 OIS main, a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide, and an 8MP f/2.4 telephoto with 3x optical zoom. There’s also a 12MP f/2.2 front-facing shooter on its 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x FullHD+ 120Hz display.
The imaging experience is complemented by AI with Generative Edit that lets you edit photos with AI. Videos are easier to take with instant slo-mo and audio eraser, which isolates and removes specific audio elements to make audio sound cleaner.
A 4,900mAh battery powers the device with support for 45W Fast Charging and Fast Wireless Charging. Its chassis is rated for IP68 dust and water resistance, and it runs on One UI 8 based on Android 16.
This generation also brings in several AI implementations. Gemini Live enables conversations with its AI and makes it easy to ask contextual questions such as asking which outfit is better with a conversational response. Its lock screen houses Now Bar that shows relevant updates and can be customized to display live notifications, music, modes, and routines. Circle to Search returns to make searching on-screen objects a breeze.
