The Samsung Galaxy S25 series have been unveiled. The brand has fully abandoned their range of Exynos chipsets and now relies on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite to improve performance and AI capabilities.

The Samsung Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra are packing the same Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip. Their new chip promises a 40% boost in its NPU for faster AI processing. On the other hand, total system performance is increased for its CPU and GPU by 37% and 30%, respectively.

Samsung has worked with Qualcomm to boost the chipset’s AI performance. They promise up to 40% improvement in image scaling quality. The whole chip is cooled with a larger vapor chamber with a tailored thermal interface material that for improved thermal efficiency.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra has the largest uptick in camera hardware. It now comes with a 200MP f/1.7 main camera, a 50MP f/1.9 ultrawide, a 50MP f/3.4 telephoto with 5x optical zoom, another 10MP f/2.4 telephoto with 3x optical zoom.

On the other hand, the Galaxy S25 and S25+ will share the same rear camera setup packing a 50MP f/1.8 main camera, a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide, and a 10MP f/2.4 telephoto zoom.

All three will come equipped with a 12MP f/2.2 front-facing cameras on their displays.

Speaking of displays, they will come with AMOLED displays that runs at 1 – 120Hz in various sizes and resolutions. The S25 has a 6.25-inch screen with FullHD resolution while the S25+ and S25 Ultra will have QHD+ resolutions sized at 6.7 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively.

The S25 Series’ AI capabilities have been greatly expanded. You can now access Gemini by pressing and holding the side button, Now Brief lets you experience tailored experiences, and Writing Assist and Drawing Assist helps you summarization, formatting notes, and sketching.
