With only hours before the official release of the Samsung S9 and S9 Plus, we’ve managed to get the prices for Samsung’s latest smartphones. Coming from a trusted source that, unfortunately, we can’t reveal, the Samsung Galaxy S9 will retail at PhP 45,990 while its bigger brother, the S9 Plus, will sell starting at PhP 52,990.
It’s no surprise that the Samsung Galaxy S9 will cost PhP 45,990 as the previous Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus was priced for PhP 44,990 and with an expected leap of performance and features, this price jump would probably an expected leap. The Galaxy S9 Plus, however, will be battling it out in the PhP 50,000 mark against its sibling, the Galaxy Note8.
The S9 series are expected to have an 18.5:9 Infinity Display, which is the same aspect ratio as its predecessors. The two smartphones are said to be almost identical with each other with both smartphones anticipated to use the Samsung Exynos 9810 SoC while a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 variant will be used in some regions like the US.
There are some differences, however, the S9 will come with 4GB/64GB and 4GB/128GB variants both of which will have a 5.8-inch QHD+ SUperAMOLED display. The S9 Plus, meanwhile, is expected to come with 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB variants with a larger 6.2-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display and the first dual camera setup in a Galaxy S smartphone.
