The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 has made its debut at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2023 together with the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Tab S9 series. It now comes with upgraded specifications including a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset and the new Flex Window.
The Galaxy Z Flip5 sports what the brand calls Flex Window. It is now 3.78x larger than the previous generation, has additional capabilities, and more customization options. The display can be used to access information while Widgets allow you to check the weather and control multimedia playback. You can view all the Widgets at a glance and switch between them with a pinch of the screen.
The smartphone has two rear cameras: a 12MP f/1.8 Dual Pixel AF main with up to 10x digital zoom and a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide; while at the front is a 10MP f/2.2 shooter. You can use the rear cameras to take selfies thanks to the Flex Window and you can make creative shots with its flexible formfactor.
As far as the internals go, the Flip5 now has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset with 8GB RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Its battery is a dual-cell design with 3,700mAh capacity and supports 25W Fast Charging, Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, and Wireless Power Share.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 starts at PhP 64,990 in the Philippines. Two storage variants are available: 256GB for PhP 64,990 and 512GB for PhP 71,990. Four color variants will be available: Gray, Blue, Green, and Yellow. The Blue and Gray models are up for pre-order exclusively on the Samsung website.
