The time has come for Samsung’s Unpacked to show off their latest foldable flagships. Much like the S24 series earlier this year, the Galaxy Z Fold6 will come with AI integrations, the latest high-end chipset, and top-of-the-line hardware.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6
The Galaxy Z Fold6 shares the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset with a larger vapor chamber to help with cooling. Samsung refines the experience with a slightly taller 6.3-inch 2376 x 968 cover screen for a more natural viewing experience. Opening it up unveils the 7.6-inch 2160 x 1856 Dynamic AMOLED 2x main screen that can run up to 120Hz.
Samsung says that the Fold6 is also tougher thanks to a new dual rail hinge structure supported by a strengthened folding edge that distributes shock from impacts. They have also equipped the foldable with Armor Aluminum and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 to further help with durability.
AI is the big integration this year and that remains true for the Fold6. Samsung carries over some of the AI capabilities of the S24 series like Note Assist for AI-generated summaries. They’ve introduced a new embedded transcript feature to translate and overlay on PDFs and even images and graphs.
The composer on the Samsung keyboard suggests words and keywords analyzed from your previous posts to set the same tone. Meanwhile, Sketch to Image enables you to generate art when you sketch or draw on photos in the Gallery or Note screen.
They are also integrating Google Gemini on the new Z series letting you access an AI-powered assistant. You can then easily ask Gemini for suggestions for travel itineraries or detailed information about things that interest you. Speaking of travel, Interpreter now has a new conversation mode that takes advantage of the Fold’s dual screen formfactor while Live Translate can translate calls in real-time.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 sports a 50P f/1.8 Dual Pixel AF OIS Main Camera, a 10MP f/2.4 Telephoto with 3x Optical Zoom, a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide, a 4MP f/1.8 under-the-display camera, and a 10MP f/2.2 cover camera. Its main camera supports 2x optical zoom and AI zoom with up to 10x zoom.
Photography also gets a few AI integrations as well. Photo Assist on the main screen helps you to take better photos while Portrait Studio offers different portrait styles. Instant Slow-Mo generates additional frames on videos to achieve a slow-motion effect.

Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 starts at PhP 105,990 in the Philippines. Three storage variants are being offered: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB for PhP 105,990, PhP 113,990, and PhP 130,990, respectively.
