Looks like Samsung isn’t out in the big smartphone arena yet, following their last year’s Galaxy A9 Pro’s performance. The Korean giant means business for big screen sizes with a 6GB RAM smartphone via the new Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro.
This solid phablet features a solid specification of a 6-inch screen with Super AMOLED display and decent performance Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 similar to the OPPO F3 Plus. But the eye-catching feature is the 6GB RAM ideal for the multi-window multi-tasking feature of the phone, it’s quite ideal for the 6″ resolution as well.
6GB RAM is designed to push more apps opened at the same time, not to mention open large files like powerpoint presentations with huge sizes and photos. For the Galaxy C9 Pro, this can handle these apps more fluidly and can multi-task easier. But is it overkill already to have a 6GB RAM smartphone? Well, to be honest…it’s not bad to go 6GB if you can afford it and just make sure you use intense apps to justify it.
Interestingly this metal smartphone also boast a dual 16MP f/1.9 camera for the front and back, so taking photos won’t be a problem and hopefully clearer than the previous generation.
What’s nice for the C9 Pro is the dual-sim tray is different for the MicroSD tray, so you can utilize the dual-sim capability fully. Not sure yet if this phone is capable for carrier aggregation, but it’s compatible with 700MHz LTE signals.
The C9 Pro is priced at Php27,990 with a free Level U Pro Bluetooth headset worth 3,099. We say this is a decent smartphone without the extra features of 4K recording, 2k display and even dual cameras. Overall, the price is sufficient for the specifications and the dazzling 6GB RAM.
Availability of the C9 Pro is on April 22 at all Samsung Authorized resellers like Abensons, Samsung concept stores, Lazada and more. You can also avail 24 months 0% interest via BDO and Citibank.
The only missing in this package is IP68 water and dust resistance, but hopefully Samsung gets the message. Hehehe 🙂
